Symptoms

This page contains information on symptoms related to astral travel or projection.

Vibrations

Vibrations are probably the most common of all pre-Projection sensations, and you should be fully prepared for them. You might feel as if a part or all of your body begins to vibrate.  for me personally These vibrations normally start in the back or neck area and start slowly and gradually intensify. Experiencing this for the first time will be quite scary, you might get startled and feel that your entire body is being electrocuted slightly, Vibrations are a sure indication that you are very close to a successful Astral Projection.

Sleep Paralysis

Sleep Paralysis or Catalepsy is another very common symptom that you might experience during your Astral Projection practice. Sleep Paralysis is a state where you may suddenly find yourself unable to move or speak. Your mind is awake yet your physical body will feel so completely paralyzed
you'll all of a sudden become of aware of this, and it is quite scary, for me, my experiences follow with a vast amount of chills or goosebumps while "paralyzed". People say Astral Paralysis means you are very close to actually exiting your body when in this state.

Buzzing Sounds

The most common sounds you may hear are buzzing, almost like that high pitch sound you get when you turn on a television,  buzzing seems to be the most common pre-Astral Projection symptom, and can intensify so much that you feel there are a dozen ringing noises in your ears! Recognition of such sounds is an important step because they prove to you that you are close to astral travel or projection.

Movement Sensations

Experiencing sensations of dizziness, vertigo, falling or flying up at great speeds, feeling like your speeding down a highway, rocking or even swaying. I hear these occur because its the start of the Astral Projection sequence as the Astral body starts to separate from the physical. This is a very positive symptom proving that your Astral body has loosened from its physical confines!
